Projects Overview

An overview of example SES Projects includes the following :
  • Support Hill AFB, AFMC, and Army TACOM/NAC in the identification, investigation, qualification, and application of leading edge technologies; including the following:
    • Advanced Composites as applied to tactical shelters, ground-based radomes, and towers
    • Fuel Cells
    • Advanced Plating/De-plating and Corrosion Control
    • Advanced Coatings (life of the part coatings).
    • Advanced Fuels
    • Alternative Fuels
  • Providing consulting support to a major engineering firm (having sales in excess of $4B/yr), assisting them in establishing SEI CMMI Level 3 systems engineering practices/processes (significantly improving their existing business practices)
  • Development and sustainment of the Air Force Surveillance Information Management System (SIMS), used in support of the assessment/surveillance of Air Force munitions systems
  • Program Management, software/systems engineering, and software development related to the development of satellite training systems for Air Force Space Command
  • Development of proprietary software for the identification and research of genetic mutations. Includes complex Oracle database, Java, and significant Hw/Sw interfaces
  • Development of E-Commerce web-sites
  • Development of Geographical Information System (GIS) maps and map layers for Hill AFB, which are in turn related to existing database applications
  • GIS support to local governments (i.e., county and city governments)
  • Integration of Air Force environmental information systems in support of HQ AFMC/CEV
  • Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of all BLM Systems used within the Western United States
  • Development of software documentation for an ICBM Logistics Support Analysis Database
  • Hw/Sw modification of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) used in the testing of Navy munitions
  • Environmental studies, process improvement, technology insertion, and analysis in support of the Hill AFB Pollution Prevention Program
  • Environmental Compliance. Including community outreach, public relations, compliance site inventories, environmental reporting, engineering trade studies
  • Logistics support for the Cheyenne Mountain Complex (CMC). Resolving Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) relating primarily to electronic components
